LCG is on the leading edge of VCS use in the construction industry. Our approach to Virtual Construction is based on continuous feedback, communication and collaboration with the owner, consultants and project team. We use BIM to bring efficiencies through 4D construction sequencing, accurate project estimating, procurement scheduling, clash detection, 3D virtual coordination meetings, virtual mockup simulation, and 3D digital surveys (laser scanning).
Our approach to BIM is tailored for each project. We begin by engaging with the design consultants to discuss design documentation using a BIM platform application (i.e. Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, Synchro, etc). LCG will then initiate a BIM start-up meeting where the levels of detail and protocols for data input of building components are agreed on for easy extraction of quantities and analysis.
